Collection description The Dunbar Economic Development Corporation (Dunbar EDC) collection contains photographs and artifacts which document the Vernon-Central neighborhood of Los Angeles which is the historic core of the California African American community. The Dunbar EDC was founded by local community members to implement a holistic approach to addressing the lack of employment opportunity and prosperity existing in the Vernon-Central area.
